HDBank wins Best Digital Bank in Vietnam 2021 - Ho Chi Minh City Development Joint Stock
Commercial Bank (HDBank) has received Asiamoney’s awards for the Best Digital Bank in Vietnam 2021. The awards recognized the bank’s efforts in heavily investing in technology infrastructure and payment platforms over the years. Most notably, the establishment of the Digital Transformation Center (DTC) in 2020 marked impressive progress for the bank in realizing its digital transformation strategy for 2021 - 2025 to become a "Happy Digital Bank". The bank’s digital applications and automation also helped improve its operational efficiency and timely respond to customer demands when Vietnam imposed social distancing and moved into a new normal later. As a result of these changes, the first half of the year saw e-banking transactions increase double over the same period from last year, with its transaction value reaching roughly VND60 trillion, a year-on-year increase of 300%. Throughout the 2021 to 2015 period, HDBank will continue to increase the number of clients using its digital banking services that are set to account for 90% of digital transactions by 2025 and successfully become a “Happy Digital Bank” in Vietnam.
